The Town of Jonesborough, the oldest in Tennessee, flies flags from the street light poles in the Historic Downtown District. The flags are flown in demonstration of our support for the US Military and our love of country. Our goal is to fly these flags continuously as long as the United States has troops in harm’s way. As a way to cover the cost of the flags, the town’s Flag Committee offers the opportunity to individuals to adopt a flag that is flown on one of these poles. However, this donation link is for individuals who would like to just make a STRAIGHT DONATION, and NOT enroll in the adopt a flag program.
